Evo Morales’ Washington Visit
This past week, Bolivia’s president, Evo Morales, visited Washington for the first time. The relationship between Morales and the Bush administration has been a strained one to say the least. The Washington Post reports on the visit, offering some background on a few points of tension between Bolivia and the US. The Post, however, fails to mention Morales’ claim that there is substantial evidence of US involvement in violent attempts to overthrow him.
